A new study by AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) says that children in private schools in Delhi are five times more likely to be overweight than children in public schools. Doctors studied the health of 3,888 children aged 6 to 19 from both public and private schools. They checked their weight, blood pressure, sugar levels, and more.
They found that in public schools, more children were underweight, but in private schools, more children were overweight or obese. The study also showed that boys had higher chances of being overweight than girls, and some children in both types of schools had high blood pressure. Doctors say not playing outside, and too much screen time can make kids overweight
