LITTLE FEET, BIG MESSAGE: BANDRA STUDENTS RALLY FOR PEACE AND A GREENER PLANET

Armed with slogans, songs and packets of seeds, young changemakers take to the streets to spread a message of hope.
The streets of Bandra West, Mumbai, came alive with youthful voices as students of St. Joseph’s Convent International School stepped out of their classrooms and onto the streets with a mission — to spread peace and make the planet greener.
Carrying messages of hope and environmental responsibility, the enthusiastic children marched through the neighbourhood, raising slogans in English, Hindi and Marathi. Their spirited songs and cheerful voices caught the attention of passers-by.
But these young ambassadors of change had something more than words to offer.
They distributed packets of seeds to people along the way, encouraging them to plant a little green and do their bit for the environment. It was a simple gesture with a powerful message: even the smallest action can help make the world a better place.
The rally received encouraging support from the police, who helped ensure that the young campaigners could carry their message safely through the streets.
The students also marked Gandhi Jayanti by participating in Shramdaan, voluntarily cleaning their classrooms and school campus. Armed with a sense of responsibility, they demonstrated that cleanliness begins with each one of us.
Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals of peace, service and cleanliness, the children showed that meaningful change does not always require grand gestures.
Sometimes, all it takes is a song, a handful of seeds and the determination to make a difference.
After all, little hands can make a big difference!
