College admissions have begun, entrance tests, forms, and so on. However CBSE students are helpless without their results or even a date to when it will be released.

The Supreme Court had asked CBSE to provide a future plan for the release of the pending re- evaluation results by Friday. Students however are still waiting for a result date. A Reddit user says; “Dude almost all colleges have closed their windows for re-evaluation. All thanks to CBSE and their time taking registrations and all. I had a friend who couldn’t get his criteria for BITS and they called him and told him that there is no point in applying now they won’t wait for re-evaluation. Another user commented, “I’m a Class 12 CBSE student who applied for re-evaluation on June 2, and my status currently shows “Under Review.” Given the OSM controversy, reports of unchecked questions, unexpected marks, and the huge number of re-evaluation requests this year, when do you think results will realistically be released? My biggest concern is timing.”

As college admissions are moving ahead, the uncertainty over re-evaluation and correct results has created anxiety among thousands of students, who hope to secure a seat after meeting eligibility requirements.

For many students, refreshing websites, checking official handles, scrolling through news pages, has become a daily chore. A X user, formerly on Twitter said “ I just hope the results are released before the admission deadline.” Friday June 12, came and went without clarity on results. The absence of a response has created stress for the students who applied for re-evaluation. This uncertainty has affected students in various ways. Some are worried about missing opportunities, some find it difficult to focus and discuss future alternatives or plans. A user commented “Many of us are waiting for re-evaluation results before making decisions regarding; Supplementary/compartment exams, Improvement exams, College admissions, University enrollment, Gap year decisions, Online degree enrollments”.

The situation has highlighted the emotional side of many students who are taking to social media to express their concerns. Students remain waiting after an exam not for results or corrected results but for a date that will decide their future. Until any official announcement, thousands remain waiting, stuck amidst hope, anger, uncertainty, and despair while attempting to balance admission deadlines for a possible change in final scores.
