(detective fuel, obviously). “Hmmm,” he sniffed. “This smells like a Mystery with Capital M.”

Summer holidays were only three days away.

But something was terribly wrong.

Children at Hill Road School looked worried instead of excited. Homework sheets kept appearing. Surprise tests popped up.

Extra revision classes multiplied like mosquitoes after rain.

He inspected classrooms, corridors, and even the staff room door (strictly from outside)

“It feels,” whispered Riya, “like the holidays are… disappearing.”

LaDiDa

That was when they called Cracker Chestnut, the sharp- nosed detective dog of jusUNMUTE fame.

(Cracker Chestnut arrived wearing his detective hat detectives have manners).

Clue No. 1: Teachers looked unusually serious.

Clue No. 2: A giant calendar in the office had red circles around exam dates.

Clue No. 3: The word SYLLABUS appeared everywhere.

Chestnut gasped. “Aha! The holidays aren’t vanishing… panic is growing!”

He gathered students under the banyan tree. “Listen carefully,” he barked. “When exams come close, everyone forgets something important-holidays don’t run away. They wait patiently.”

“But why so much work?” groaned Aarav.

“Because,” said Chestnut wisely, “teachers want your brains ready so your holidays feel free, not guilty.”

The children blinked.

That evening, Chestnut delivered his detective note:

Study a little each day. Play a little every day. Sleep well.

Laugh often. Three days later, exams

ended.

The last bell rang again louder, happier, magical. Summer had officially arrived.

As children ran out cheering, Cracker Chestnut stretched in the sun.

“Case solved,” he smiled. “Holidays were never missing… only hiding behind worry.”

And with that, the detective trotted off to enjoy his summer holidays.
