Mrs. Aurora D’Souza, Headmistress of Rosary High School, Navelim, has been honoured with the prestigious CM Vashistha Guru Puraskar Award in recognition of her 28 years of dedicated service to education.
Quoting Helen Keller, Mrs. D’Souza reminded everyone that “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” This spirit of teamwork and community has defined her leadership, both at St. Thomas High School, Cansaulim and now at Rosary High School, Navelim.
Beyond academics, Mrs. D’Souza has championed environmental sustainability with tree plantations, organic farming, seed bomb dispersals, and paper recycling projects. She has also driven digital learning by setting up AV rooms, interactive panels, and innovative teaching workshops.
Her long list of recognitions includes Best Teacher Award (Lions Club), Best Principal Award (Indian Talent Olympiad), Nation Builder Award (Rotary Club), Social Action Award (IDF), and recently, the SDGs Top 50 Schools Award (2025) by NITI Aayog.
