deeply saddening, isn’t it?
More than half the kids in 63 districts in India aren’t growing the way they should because they don’t get the right food. This is called stunting. It means a child is too short for her/his age because of poor nutrition. Many kids are also underweight. The government is working to solve this by giving millet and rice meals in anganwadis and schools. Clean water, toilets, and good hygiene are also important for kids to grow strong.
