Margao, Goa- The highly anticipated 2nd edition of the Bulbul Children’s International Film Festival (BCIFF) took place from 17th to 21st February 2025 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. Organized by the Department of Information and Publicity, Government of Goa, the festival showcased a diverse selection of films, workshops, and cultural events, engaging young minds in children’s cinema.
The event was chaired by MLA Margao & Vice Chairman of BCIFF, Shri Digambar Kamat, along with other dignitaries. The festival, officially recognized by the European Children’s Film Association (ECFA), featured over 65 international film submissions alongside Indian and Goan animations. Films from Japan, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Argentina, and other countries were screened, including a special Sports Section.
Workshops and masterclasses were conducted by renowned industry professionals, covering topics like animation, robotics, AI, film editing, and set design. The festival also hosted competitions such as storytelling, fancy dress, and Bollywood dance.
The grand opening featured Mukkam Post Bombilwaadi, followed by a musical evening. Additional attractions included a Dome Planetarium and a photography exhibition. With free entry and an impressive lineup, BCIFF 2025 successfully celebrated children’s cinema and cultural exchange.
