The last ten days before the Class 10 board exams are not about studying harder-they are about studying smarter. What you do during this period can make a significant difference to your confidence, clarity, and final performance. Many students panic during this time, but with the right approach, these days can be- come your strongest preparation phase.

1. Stop Learning New Chapters

This is the most important rule. The last ten days are not meant for learning new topics. Trying to start fresh chapters now often creates confusion and stress. Instead, focus on strengthening what you already know. A well- revised answer scores more than a half-understood new one. Trust your preparation and resist the temptation to “just quickly see” something new.

2.Follow a Fixed Daily Routine

A disciplined routine helps your mind stay calm. Wake up and sleep at the same time every day. Fix study slots for different subjects and follow them sincerely. This routine trains your brain to concentrate better and prepares it for exam days. Avoid late nights and irregular schedules, as they increase anxiety and reduce memory retention.

3. Revise Actively, Not Passively

Simply rereading textbooks is not effective revision. Active revision means writing answers, solving numericals, drawing diagrams, and reciting definitions aloud. When you write, your brain processes information. more deeply. Redraw important diagrams and practice step-wise answers, especially for science and maths. This improves both speed and accuracy.

4. Focus on High- Weightage Topics

Not all chapters carry equal importance. Use previous years’ question papers and your teachers’ guidance to identify high-weightage topics. Revise these thoroughly. Pay special attention to definitions, formulas, laws, and diagrams. Strong command over important topics can fetch you steady marks even if some smaller areas are weak.

5. Practice Question Papers with a Timer

Solving sample papers and previous years’ papers is crucial in the last ten days. Practice at least one paper every one or two days. Always use a timer and simulate exam. conditions. After finishing, check your answers honestly and note where you lost marks. This improves time management builds exam confidence.

6. Maintain a Mistake Notebook

Your mistake notebook is your secret weapon. Write down common errors-wrong formulas, careless mistakes, spelling errors, or steps you forget. Revise this notebook daily. Many students repeat the same mistakes in exams simply because they never revise them consciously.

7. Reduce Distractions Completely

During the final days, distractions must be controlled strictly. Social media, games, and unnecessary screen time disturb concentration. Keep your phone away during study hours and use it only during breaks if needed. Even small distractions break focus and waste valuable time

8. Sleep Well and Eat Light

Sleep is not optional- it is essential. A well- rested brain remembers better and writes faster. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep daily. Eat simple, home-cooked food and drink enough water. Heavy junk food and irregular meals make you feel tired and unfocused.
