A study by UNICEF says that the internet can be good and bad for children.

The study explains that it is not only about how long children use screens, but what they see online. Watching useful videos, learning new things, and talking to friends can be good. But seeing mean messages, bullying, or scary content can make children feel sad, worried, or lonely.

UNICEF says children should not be scared of the internet. Instead, they should be guided. Parents and teachers should talk to children about what they see online and help them stay safe.

THIS STUDY REMINDS US THAT CHILDREN NEED

  • Kindness online
  • Safe websites
  • Time to play, read, and talk in real life
  • The internet should help children grow, not make them unhappy.
