Lesson Reversed: What Teachers Learn in Class
1. Mrs. Krupali Patel from Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Mumbai says, “I have learnt from children the art of doing things the easier way. Our generation has always been so used to working hard or sometimes overworking. Just looking at the way today’s generation performs tasks, is simply a delight to watch and I give them full credit for it.”
2. “One of the many things I have learnt from students is that curiosity is contagious. One unexpected question in class and suddenly we’re all debating whether fish ever get thirsty. 3.Maria Mascarenhas from St Xaviers High School says“As a teacher everyday when I look at my students I feel motivated to create a safe space for them to study with joy. They love learning with real life examples and that encourages me to continue making learning more realistic.”
4.Patricia Fernandes from St. Therezas High School, St. Estevam says, “ Everyday my students teach me something new, lessons beyond the textbook. Their creativity, imagination, patience, joy in simple things, the excitement over small achievements reminds me to be happy in small things. Their adaptability, according to the teachers, their curiosity, their empathy, understanding, simplicity, and they bring flowers for me for teachers day or a birthday even after I have corrected them some days back. Their sense of humour, cultural awareness, and gratitude inspires me.
5. Grizella D’Souza from Santa Cruz High School says; My children teach me that it’s never too late to learn a new skill. My children teach me to live in the moment and how to make the most out of any situation. My children have taught me to be patient. I have become a ‘mother’ much before I actually had any kids of my own.

2. Ria Rasquinha a homeschooled GRADE 10 girl from Goa says, “God’s teaching to man is “Do to others as you would have them do to you”. Unfortunately, this law is most neglected. I would change every man’s mind and heart to follow this rule to their dying breath.”
Noahan Almeida VI standard from St. Brittos High School Mapusa says “If I had to change one thing I would end wars between countries. Wars only bring pain ,fear and sadness to people.I would promote peace talks, friendship programmes so that people can understand each other better .When we learn to respect our differences ,we can live together in peace and harmony.”
Pranjali Volvoikar – Xth standard from St. Xavier’s High School Moira says “If I were to change one thing, it would be the discrimination based on religion. We should never judge people by their religion, nor should we disrespect them or their beliefs.”
