Kashish Kumar’s Inspiring Musical Journey
1. When did you first discover that you loved singing or performing on stage?
Music was always part of my childhood, but I realised it was more than a hobby when I sang few Patriotic Songs for India Against Corruption to support Anna Hazare at Ram Leela maidan in New Delhi in front of 10,000+ Crowd.That moment of connecting with the audience lit a spark that never went Away.
2. Who encouraged or inspired you the most when you started your journey?
My family has been my biggest cheerleader, especially my parents who never questioned my dream. Early mentors in local music circles in my Hometown and School’s Music Teachers also guided me, giving me confidence to take singing Seriously.
3. What was your very first performance like — were you nervous or excited?
I can say Both mixed feelings of nervousness and excitement hits you during your first performance and I was trembling before stepping onto the audition stage for a local Radio FM singing Competition in the Town, but the second I sang the first note, excitement took over. My Friends applause turned my nervousness into pure joy.
4. How do you prepare before going on stage — do you have a special routine or lucky charm?
I like to keep things simple a quiet few minutes of deep breathing, light vocal warm-up of any random song, and a quick mental run-through of the Song list for the Audience and a bite of dark chocolate to fuel energy for my two hour performance.
5. What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far, and how did you overcome it?
As i am full time into Music so
Taking Music from Passion to Profession was a big Challenge
Balancing the business side with the Creative side. Negotiations, travel, and logistics can be overwhelming.
I overcame it by building a strong team of Talented Musicians and Managers with me and also learning to treat music as both art and profession.
6. How do you handle stage fright or mistakes during a live show?
Stage fright still visits sometimes, but I channel it into energy and Humour on the spot.
If a mistake happens, I smile, keep singing, and interact with the crowd—most of the time they don’t even notice. I think Stage Live Singers will relate to this.
7. Which artists or singers do you admire, and why?
I grasp and pick things from multiple artists and Singers which i think will be beneficial for my Career. Whether it is from Youtube or any live event i am attending.

I admire versatile performers like Arijit Singh and Sonu Nigam ji for their emotive voice and Both show how staying true to your sound connects across cultures.I have grown up singing Sonu ji’s Songs.
8. Do you think learning music or acting in school helps in building a stage career?
Yes Definitely. I was always a part of a school choir which gave me abundant confidence in my Career and Music Journey. Formal training sharpens technique and teaches discipline. Even basic theatre or choir experience builds stage presence and confidence that last a lifetime.
9. How do you keep improving your voice, performance, or confidence?
Regular riyaz, Learning and collaborating with different experienced musicians, and performing songs in diverse genres and languages keep me growing. I also record and review my Showreels to spot areas for improvement.
10. What advice would you give children who dream of becoming singers or stage artists one day?
Practice daily, stay passionate and curious about all kinds of music, and perform whenever you can—big or small stage doesn’t matter. Most important is Enjoy the journey, because your unique voice is your superpower. You never know which platform or stage will take you at the level which you have never dreamt of.
11. Are the earnings better or the glamour?
Both exist,earnings are very important if you want to take music as a career and full time job but the Real Reward is the connection with people as Earnings follow consistently if you get Fame and Glamour.
The music itself is what lasts.
12. What other career choice would you have liked to choose?
If not music, I’d probably run an Ayurvedic wellness retreat—something that blends nature, healing, and creativity and sing devotional mantras and bhajans for my clients. Actually this is the Future Plan with my Wife as she is a Ayurvedic Doctor.
