Yellow Anacondas Born in Odisha Zoo

Seven yellow anacondas were born at Nandankanan Zoo in Bhubaneswar on June 30. The parent snakes came from Madras Crocodile Bank in 2019. The last time babies were born was in 2022. Now, the zoo has two adult males, two females, and ten young snakes. One more snake is expected to give birth soon! Yellow anacondas are mostly found in South American countries like Bolivia and Brazil. The zoo says this is a big step in caring for reptiles and saving them. Staff are proud and excited to see the babies growing healthy in their new home.
